People tend to think of Lake Wylie as a South Carolina lake, but a good share of our work has always been on the North Carolina side, in Gaston County. Belmont in particular has been good to us. We have been an approved waterfront builder at McLean since the community’s first phase, we built the clubhouse at Misty Waters along with a good many of the homes around it, and some of our favorite wooded lots are in Woodland Bay, just across the road from Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden. Up the river in Cramerton we have been building at Cramer Mountain since the company’s first decade, and in Gastonia you will find our homes in Lake Forest, The Cloisters, Cross Creek, Fairfield at the Club and Glenmoor.
If your lot is in Belmont, Cramerton, Mount Holly or Gastonia, we are licensed to build it, and the process is the same one we use across the state line: we design the home together, settle the specifications, and reach a contract price before construction begins. Gaston County permitting, review boards and shoreline permits are handled inside that process, so they are ours to manage rather than yours to discover.
Dozens of our homes sit on private Lake Wylie lots that belong to no subdivision at all — Island Forks, Pine Moss, Mallard Point, Tioga, Squirrel Lane and River Point Road on the South Carolina side; Saw Mill, Hideaway and Lakefront Drive on the Carolina side.
