Homes Team
McSpadden Homes has worked very hard to assemble a team of employees and suppliers that share our philosophies. We are all committed to delivering a Professional, Predictable, Detailed, and Systematic Design/Build experience
Connor McSpadden grew up watching his dad build a company — and just as importantly, watching how he built it. Before joining McSpadden Homes, Connor earned his undergraduate degree in Building Sciences from Appalachian State University, then served six years in the United States Navy, with deployments to the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, and the Eastern Pacific. After his Navy service he went on to earn a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and obtained both his Real Estate and General Contractor licenses.
Coming up through the company alongside his father gave him something a classroom can't: a working understanding of the values, the people, and the standards that have defined McSpadden Homes since 1987.
As President and CEO, Connor is focused on the next chapter of custom home building in the Lake Wylie market — sharpening the systems and standards that built McSpadden Homes, and bringing the latest in building science and technology to bear on right-sized, lifestyle-driven homes for the people and families the company serves.
He believes great companies are not reinvented; they are improved, deliberately, by disciplined people working in the same direction over time. The mission statement his father wrote in 1987 — servanthood, honesty, diligence, excellence, wisdom — remains the foundation, and Connor sees his job as protecting it while pushing every detail of the work forward. New opportunities will keep coming. They will never come at the cost of who McSpadden Homes is.
Outside the office, faith and family are the center of Connor's life. He and his wife Haley are raising their sons, Rory and Declan, in the same convictions that shaped his own upbringing. The outdoors is part of who he is — kayaking and SCUBA diving on the water, the Appalachian Mountains and snowboarding in Colorado off of it — and the joy now is sharing all of it with his boys.
Since 1989, I have supervised and kept a pulse on the company’s financial and administrative matters. l have a B.S from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC in Horticulture and an M.S. from University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in Plant and Soil Science.I have been married to Doug since 1984 and feel my greatest accomplishment is in raising two enthusiastic and engaging young men.
Outside of the business realm, I enjoy gardening, hiking, bicycling and spending time with our grandbabies.
Haley plays a key role in keeping the business running smoothly behind the scenes. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and served as a nurse in the U.S. Navy, where she met Connor. After completing her MBA, she took on the financial and administrative side of the business, helping manage day-to-day operations.
When she’s not working, Haley is busy raising two little boys with Connor. She loves cooking, working out, and spending as much time outdoors as possible with her family.
Ketta is the Selections Coordinator for McSpadden Homes. As a graduate from Converse College with a BFA in Interior Design, and equipped with her detail-oriented nature, she makes the selections process enjoyable and easy for Clients.
She is primarily part of the Project Development team, but she stays involved throughout the duration of the build.In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her friends at the Whitewater Center, exploring the mountains, and spending time with her family.
Jason has been in the construction industry since 1996. After spending years in the field doing hands-on work, he moved into Construction Management with McSpadden Homes.
Jason is a problem solver who enjoys running an efficient job, working with Trades, and meeting the Clients’ expectations.In his downtime, Jason enjoys golf, camping, and outdoor activities with his wife and children.
Tim is a Florida native who began his construction career in 1997, and has evolved through many aspects of the business. From working as a Trade in the field, as well as owning his own business, he also spent many years as a Construction Manager while working for a few of the nation’s largest builders.
Tim came to McSpadden Homes for the opportunity to combine his passion for building with his inter-personal skills, in order to create a more pleasantly guided experience with his clients. He enjoys writing and playing music, white water rafting, target shooting, and spending time with his family.
He is overseeing all of the homes in our new enclave in Belmont and also staying in touch with every job running. Daily discussions to assisting the project managers in the details and keeping our standards met or going above. His experience and attention to detail assures each home is built with exceptional quality.
When at home Michael loves spending time with his wife Tracey watching movies, antique shopping or just going out to dinner. They have four children and four grandchildren that they travel around the states to see. He loves spending time the woods or fields with his big chocolate Lab Boone or working in his wood shop.He is an avid outdoorsman, whether elk and mule deer hunting in Montana or Trout fishing in Tennessee.
Donna is the Office Manager and Project Management Liaison for our clients. Whether it's in the office, over the phone, or via email, Donna's smiling face and cheerful voice will be the first to greet you and answer any of your questions, providing a feeling of warmth and comfort.
Outsideof the office, you can find her at the gym, enjoying time with her grandkids, or baking custom cakes.
Raven is the designated Office Ambassador to everyone that enters the doors of McSpadden Homes. As a Labrador, she doesn’t handle her licker well, so beware, she might just taste your toes or fingers.
She prefers to travel to job sites with anyone that will take her, and will slink away when no one is watching to clean up all biscuit wrappers and any bites of food that have been discarded. Her favorite sites to visit are on the lake, and she will be in the water with no hesitation. Jumping off docks is her favorite sport, but belly rubs and treats take a close second!
