Two years after founding the company, Doug McSpadden built his first spec home on the lake in Riverpointe, the established Lake Wylie community on the Charlotte side of the Buster Boyd Bridge, about 200 custom homes with a marina, pool and beach clubhouse. We have kept building here ever since, on Whitesail Drive, Woolwine Road, Eagleview Drive, Alloway Lane, Dock View Lane and Riverpointe Drive.
Riverpointe’s remaining lots and teardown opportunities are a different job from a raw lakefront parcel: mature trees to keep, neighbors on both sides, and a community that has seen forty years of construction and knows the difference. Our homes here span the life of the community, from its first lake houses to recent custom builds, and we still get calls from the original owners.
