These photos are from the back of a home in McLean, in Clover SC. The stucco crew has finished the walls on this side, and the scaffolding is down. The columns under the upper deck, the trim bands around the windows and the wood porch ceilings above the glass doors are all in place. Inside, the painters have started on the walls under a vaulted ceiling with exposed wood beams.
Stucco goes on in layers: paper, lath, a scratch coat, a brown coat, a glass mat coat, the trim details with their own brown coat, and two finish coats. With the back of the house finished, the crew took down the scaffolding there, cleared the debris and laid straw around the house to protect the new finish. They are working their way around to the front trim now.
We have built in McLean since its first phase, and it is good to watch another home there take its final shape. You can see more of our work in the community at https://mcspaddenhomes.com/mclean
