Hardwood floors are going down inside this stucco home in McLean, in Clover SC, as the house moves through trim-out. The photos follow one room from bare floor to finished boards, then step outside to the newly graded yard, with the lake beyond the trees, and to the rear porch under its wood ceiling.
Before the first board went in, our superintendent had the low spots in the floor floated level, so the boards would have a flat base to lie on. The dark wide-plank boards are set in adhesive, row by row, starting at the glass doors. As each area is finished it is covered right away, so the new floors stay protected while the painters, electricians and stucco crew finish around them. Outside, the site has been graded and the drive and walk points are marked. The ground here is rocky, so more dirt was brought in to shape the yard.
