These eight photos follow one pool and spa behind a new home in Woodland Bay, the gated community on Belmont's South Point peninsula, from the first forms to finished water. The lot is wooded, and Lake Wylie shows through the trees beyond the pool deck.
The work started with a layout meeting on site with the owners, so the pool sat where they wanted it before anything was dug. After the dig, the crew set the steel and the plumbing, and the pool passed its inspections before the gunite shell was shot. The stone decking came next, then the pebble interior finish. Once the finish was in, the pool was acid washed and filled. The spa sits a step above the pool and spills into it, and a black metal fence closes in the yard along the tree line.
We have built in Woodland Bay since the community's first years. If you own a lot there or are looking at one, here is more about building on the peninsula: https://mcspaddenhomes.com/woodland-bay
